Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Specialist to support the expansion of our services into new markets. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while facilitating a smooth registration process in new jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have strong familiarity with legal and regulatory terminology, exceptional research skills, and the ability to manage high-volume communication across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Management: Securely collect, record, and update compliance data and documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Regulatory Tracking: Monitor and track progress on compliance milestones, ensuring projects meet deadlines and regulatory requirements.
  • Research & Analysis: Conducting in-depth research on municipal and state-level compliance requirements, managing regulatory data and documentation, and creating clear procedures for market activation.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Summarize research findings and prepare reports, presentations, and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Inspections & Audits: Coordinate and facilitate inspections, audits, and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Engage with stakeholders to ensure compliance and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Verification & Review: Review and verify reports, records, and regulatory submissions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure all activities align with internal policies, safety regulations, and industry-specific standards.
  • Municipal Workflow Documentation: Develop and maintain workflow documentation specific to the needs of municipalities.
  • Communication: Handle frequent phone communications with government agencies, track compliance status, and work closely with our customer service team to streamline workflows.

In addition, this role involves the facilitation and delivery of training sessions for internal staff on new market procedures and regulatory expectations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys investigative work, and is passionate about ensuring operational readiness and legal compliance in every market we enter.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in activations in new markets, regulatory or legal research, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software for reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
